Join artist collective and music label Syndicate and friends as they investigate music evolution, its impact and the role it serve in the design of a city. This session is part of the Concave Summit as featured in the Singapore Week of Innovation and & Technology.

Cherry Chan


Cherry Chan is a Singapore-based electronic music producer and DJ known for her eclectic selection, as well as for co-founding audiovisual collective Syndicate. She has performed at Low End Theory in Los Angeles, USA, and Worldwide Festival in Sete, France. Music writer Dave Jenkins from Bandcamp noted earlier in the year that her mixtape drew a delicate thread through Singapore’s electronic underground, capturing a deep and emotional spacey aesthetic, providing moving musical snapshot of a city abuzz with exciting experimental and innovative talents. Syndicate have presented a versatile range of works - from live electronic music showcases to architectural projection mapping, art installations and photography.

Indran Paramasivam


Indran Paramasivam is an established music journalist at Bandwagon, actively exploring how performing arts, particularly music is produced and received amidst a backdrop of ever-evolving trends and influences. Bandwagon is the leading independent music media company in Southeast Asia, delivering news, entertainment, and events happening in our region to millions of readers around the world.

Nic Shields


Nic Shields is the Executive Music Director of Mediacorp with 8 years of experience in the broadcast & music industry. An avid consumer of pop music, he specialises in programming and music strategies for contemporary hit music stations such as 987FM.

Rachelle Su


Rachelle Su is trained as an architect at the NUS School of Design and Environment and spent several years at the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore as an Urban Planner. She is also a DJ and a keen collector of funk music.

Vincent Tan


Vincent Tan is an architectural designer at Zarch with a music release in the pipeline as Valiantes. He has performed at Shinefest and Esplanade Red Dot. Zarch Collaboratives Pte Ltd is an architecture studio established in 1999 that has, over time, developed a practice centred in architecture, yet in equal parts daringly and comfortably crossing multiple fields and disciplines in its approach to spatial design.

Zul Andra


Zul Andra is an award-winning writer and editor. His tenure as Editor-in-chief of Esquire Singapore from 2014 to 2018 saw his team bag over 30 local and regional awards. With over a decade of experience in the media industry, Zul has been published in a dozen publications including South China Morning Post and Today to name a few. In January 2018, he founded Zul Andra & Partners to develop original creative content at the heart of storytelling.
